I have not looked at these opportunities in depth, but I think it is always a good idea to see who is backing them.

My biz associates swim in this ocean in venture capital and know the people likely involved. Know them very well.
The related infrastructure modernization is another area of massive opportunity, and though all of the large global mobility players likely have extensive EV strategies regarding range, et cetera, it is likely that they are more exposed than they want to be on charging infrastructure.
Our group had an interesting panel on corporate VC trends and future, and we had some mobility players. So this topic naturally came up.
One of the panelists, a car guy with extensive business accomplishments, made me aware of an interesting and perhaps exciting development/commercialization effort in the energy production space:

A $1.8 billion series B ain't no joke.
I think more than half of US venture capital is corporate.
And in general, there is a lot of competition to get in on the best deals.
On the other side, we will see how it all plays out in the public company space.
The runway to the mid-21st century is going to be very interesting.
