When there was no bushing in place, the steering shaft could be easily moved with my fingers. When I put in the new white replacement bushing, I couldn’t move the steering shaft with my fingers. I’m waiting for receipt of the new circlip before putting the steering wheel back on, and testing for play with the steering wheel. It looks like the old, original circlip was reused with the black replacement bushing, and didn’t have the elasticity that instructions and YouTube video warned about, when I removed it.
