Neat story Old E !
It reminds me of a few years earlier in NW Ohio (February 1978), when our county road kept blowing shut. Some friends, and I walked up to the main state route that still had no traffic. We had to duck under some telephone lines to get past the drifts (10-12' deep). It took a wheel loader, and dump truck to finally clean our road to a one lane canyon..
