My whole house is Samsung, 3-6 yrs old (except for the backup in the guest room, that is the leftover from college and is 14 years old). Knock on wood, zero issues so far.

At 75", you can spend $600-$5,000+. Your max of $1500 is probably a good price point, not overpaying for the latest and greatest, but insuring a higher end box. I typically go with 8series/ 8000 series. My newest TVs are Crystal UHD, though now you can probably be into a 7 or 8 series QLED for $1500.

Remember, you can pretty much never go too big.
