After getting a solid 10 years or so out of our $100 grind 'n' brew, we decided to snag a DeLonghi Magnifica S a few months ago. Personally, we only use the coffee mode, but it grinds, brews, and does it wonderfully, the same every time, and is delicious. (And uses much fewer beans for stronger coffee than our old machine).
