the CV vaccine is not like MMR, Small Pox, etc.... It's not a one time deal and you never have to worry about it again (those aren't exactly like that either, but mostly).
CV is more like the flu vaccine, you'll need anti-bodies for every version, and we'll likely have to get boosters forever. If you're vaccinated and boosted, you can still catch it and get sick and if you're sick you can still give it to other people.
If you are concerned with trying to not give it to friends, family,
turtles, etc..., then it's good to know if you've got it. If you feel sick, test yourself. If you test positive, take precautions.
