This whole thread is confusing. No pictures posted. The “appraiser” of this 911 seems to be over his head on this. Advising the family to NOT START the car because of some oil under the car and then thinking that oil is indicative of it needing a motor pull and possibly a rebuild are some red flags to me on his experience with air cooled Porsches. His “professional status and history” might be good enough to throw values at 911s at a local cars and coffee but like Voiture said- Is his history and status going to offer much when the estate goes to court.
My advice for this guy would be:
-have car trailered to local Porsche shop
-have them perform a thorough PPI on it
-post results here
-post pictures here
After that is done I am certain people on here could get a value down to +/- $500 on this car. Many experts on here with many years of knowledge.
