Always always always keep the boxes for electronics especially if they have a screen.
Neither FedEx or UPS will honor a damage claim if they are not either shipped in the original manufacturers packaging or packaged by them even if you pay for additional value based insurance.
Items are also easier to resell and move faster when you have the original packaging.
I was selling a bunch of dead Macbooks for parts on ebay that users took swimming or used as chew toys for their dogs.
Someone reached out to me and asked if I had the boxes.
I had three at the time.
Guy paid me $75.00 a piece for empty MacBook boxes.
