Pressure is regulated by the springs in the case, not by the pump itself. Anything more will just be bypassed back into the inlet of the pump.

They used bigger piston squirters on the turbos to help better cool down the pistons with the added power and heat from the turbo. Then the heat could be removed by the oil cooler(s).
