Used, rare 1976 Porsche 912 E engine. This engine is a factory 912 E engine. It did not start life in a 914 or VW bus. The engine has been stored inside for 10 yrs. The number on the fan shroud is 4061394. The engine is not stamped under the oil fill/breather (unique to the 912 E) where all other 2.0 L Porsche VW type 4 engines are stamped. The valve train looks great, and the engine turns freely. The new owner should assume it needs rebuilding, or at least a thorough inspection. The original distributor and correct engine mount bar are included, as well as a new or newly machined flywheel, extra cylinders that look like new, and extra pistons. I will toss in the engine tins as well. They look like they have been modified. I no longer have the fuel injection or heat exchangers. I was going to use this in my 914 but it belongs in a 912E. Local pick up is preferred, but boxing and shipping can be provided at the expense of the buyer.
