I did use John Deere green from a rattle can. I thought it matched quite well. If I ever do it again, I may look into the powder coating option. The counter argument is that I still have some JD green in the cabinet and it's quick, easy and inexpensive.
Ethan, please post pics of the struts after PC. I'm sure they will look amazing, that might push me towards a future PC project.....no doubt the PC would last longer than my rattle can solution!
