I'm totally with you. Ignore the critics. I have no idea why anyone would have an issue with what you're doing. They will look great. I did the same to my red/orange Konis. (But keep it quiet, I don't need the purist concourse guys hunting me down for powdercoating a bolt on part! The horrrrrrror!)
