I like the Hankook Z214 for long life. They don't seem to heat cycle dramatically like Hoosiers. I ran them for a long time on my racecar to get familiar with it and they lasted a long time, stayed consistent. Seemed like it would be a good track day tire to me. I switched to BFG R1-S and yeah there's a difference, much like Hoosiers are the hot setup.
Unfortunately it looks like Hankook offers only the 245/45-16 and that's it.
The tried and true Toyo RA1 is still out there too in 225/50 and 245/45 16 inch. But I wouldn't go with those unless I was in a pinch. They give up some grip and fun right from the start, unless you shave them. Unshaved, they're downright creepy your first time out. Get a few heat cycles in them and they stabilize and are less concerning.
Hard to argue with Bill on the 15" size. 15" size also opens you to considering the Toyo R888-R (see Tire Rack site) or take a look at the Maxxis RC-1
