You know that glitch this website had, about 2 weeks ago, there apparently was something like that for the California Employment Development Department.

Could not log on to pay payroll taxes. There was not a phone number to call on the payroll website I ended up finding a number on the main website. Spent half an hour on hold, "I can't log on to pay payroll taxes," guy immediately hung up. Finished out the hour on hold, second person tell them the same thing. She tells me clear my cache, that will fix it. It did not. What browser, Chrome.

The workaround is to open an incognito window. Turns out this is a known issue with their website. Shelley, the young lady in the employ of the state, also had an answer when I asked how much this will cost in late fees and penalties. Just don't post it as a DE 88 payment, use the other choice on the drop down list, she turned out to be mistaken about that. She did give me their phone number though, so that is something. I wonder if she gave me a real number.

Seems like they could have sent out a notice, put something in the newspaper.

EDD is not a well run outfit, I think they lost something like $20,000,000,000 to fraud in the last year and a half, which is pretty impressive actually, thirty million a day, wow
