I built a left-handed 12-string acoustic guitar almost 30 years ago for a friend who decided he didn't want it, after all. I couldn't play it, so it just sat in the case for all these years. Then I noticed a very talented guitarist in the school band at my daughter's high school. He played left-handed, so I spoke to him after a school performance that my daughter sang in.

He lived and breathed guitar. I could see his passion, clear as day. So I said, "Do you want a 12-string guitar?" He was thrilled. In fact, he got emotional when he first saw it. I'm so glad I finally found someone worthy of it. I would have found a home for it long ago, but it's not easy to find a left-handed guitarist!
