Looks like the Toyo RRs are back in stock.
Before I pull the trigger I have one question.
Will these tires give good grip in autocrossing in cool weather? I want a tire that will not need to be fully warmed up to grip. The Bf goodrich gforce R1S I am replacing did just that. Good grip in cool weather without needing to be fully up to temperature.
I also have a set of Toyo RA1s. It has been very frustrating using them in cool weather, as in 55 deg., cloudy and windy. Tires would go back to 55 degs. sitting waiting between runs. On a warm day they work great.
Anyone using the RR that can chime in? I spoke with one guy who felt that the RR would not work unless fully up to temp.
Thoughts?
