I have used GunBroker quite a bit. I have never had an issue with getting what I have purchased. It is a " best practice" to contact the FFL first so they are aware that you have a delivery coming. They will charge you about 50 bucks for the service ( they have paperwork to do concerning the item) . Knowing you FFL service cost upfront is good, because it can help you shop around for the price you want to pay for the service. I have used both gun stores and FFL holders that work from there homes. I see no difference. First when the weapon arrives, you have to go there and get a reciept which you take to county offices and they will add it to your permit (for a pistol in NY). Then you go back and can take possession of the firearm. It takes about an hour total. Good luck !

P.s. I have magazines and ammunition shipped to my front door regularly. The only restriction in NY is you cannot buy a mag larger than 10 rounds. So, if you firearm purchase is larger than 10 rounds you , i.e. double stack, you need to reconsider your choice.
