Putting IGU's in conventional wood sash is almost impossible and highly impractical. First, the sigle glaze rabbet isn't deep enough and 2nd, the total gap in the IGU will be 1/4" when 1/2 to 5/8ths has been proven to be ideal.
Best to use a tilt pack.
And you still won't get the optimum gap.
