lol, I know some short onramps too, but you are typically not at 0 when you enter the on-ramp
You'de already be in 2nd gear and at least 20-30mph right?
It helps to have good acceleration, for safety even, I'll readily agree to that.
But any car that can do a 0-60 in sub 8 seconds typically will have enough to get around and out of trouble just fine.
Anything sub 5 secs is no longer adding to that and it's just bragging rights and marketing.
