Here's my simple test. Throw a tennis ball. If she brings it back, she's mostly lab. If she chases it, and either leaves it where it is, or picks it up and runs around wanting you to chase her, mostly hound. Another trait our hound exhibits is when you take her for a walk, the nose is on the ground and the tail is up in the air, curled back similar to a parenthesis. When she senses something she doesn't like, there's a little patch of hair on her back that bristles up. If she catches a scent, she's gone, she won't listen to either of us.

The neighbor has a lab / Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He gets the whole ridge down his back when he gets excited.
Could ya post a pic of your girl? We would like to see if she passes the "I have hound dawg ears" test . My Moka's nationally recognized breeder was very scientific in his methods, insisting that his pups be picked up on day 49 (when puppies truly "wake up" and begin to learn their world), based upon scientific studies. She was amazing to watch from the day I brought her home.... nose to ground learning her new world. By day 52 she had explored my whole back yard with her nose never leaving the ground . He bred champion athletes, but many also became drug sniffers and rescue search dogs. She doesn't have hound dawg ears .... but she has the nose
