New
BRAKING rotors vs.
ARASHI two piece composite.
Note the complete wheel weight difference.
BRAKING 19.5 vs Arashi 20.55 lbs.
Over
one full pound. This is significant as less energy is required to move/stop (Accel/Decel) lighter objects. The benefits of reduced unsprung mass and a lower moment of inertia is also noteworthy just adding to the advantages Dymag wheels provide. Also obvious is the increase in pad swept area which provides a superior lever feel. Thermal consistency reducing warpage are also beneficial factors. Having both GALFER as well as BRAKING fitted to machines in the past, I find them both exceptional and certainly superior to the Arashi which were temporarily installed for their
admittedly subjective cosmetic attributes.
More photos to come.
