Why? It's AWD and quite capable in snow without the KO2's. With the KO2's it's even better! Dont' get me wrong here, I think they're overkill for the driving my son does. But for the way I used the RAV, they would have been a perfect match. It was my "well the deer is down in the woods and I ain't draggin that thing 1/4 mile back to the truck" vehicle before I bought a UTV. It was really too nice to use for that anyhow but still. It took that thing across some fields with some pretty deep snow and across fields with standing water and never got it stuck. The Rav isn't a Subie but it's pretty off road capable.

They definitely aren't the best vehicle for sound deadening but the POS Yokahama's that came on it and the Firestones I put on it were fairly quiet in the cab. The Ko2 have a lot of road noise.

Probably Nitto Grapplers. Those things can be loud but they look really cool.

As for grip, yeah the Grabbers do well right up until you bury the truck to the axles. Then you need a friend in a Jeep to come pull you out. Not that anything like that happened to me... but it's what I've heard from other people.
