^^This. And...if you go with all terrain tires, rotate them every 5k miles. I have 16k miles on my current set of Goodyear Duratracs (an aggressive all terrain known to be noisy) and they are still very quiet. I got 50k miles out of the last set - Falken Wildpeak ATs - and they were very quiet even at 50k.
Quiet is relative, though.
