Here is an early black & white linen postcard of "Butler's Grill - Highway 66 - Pacific, Missouri" and DX station. With homemade chili & Hires root beer.
"February 8, 1954 – The Pacific, Missouri Transcript reported that two “colored girls in a new Cadillac” had stopped at Butler’s Grill and left a purse behind containing $1,000 in bonds, $600 in traveler's checks, and $120 in cash. The purse belonged to none other than entertainer Pearl Bailey, who returned and gave Mrs. Butler a $50 reward."
