On Apple at least, it's not facebook that's disabling, it's Apple. And I'm pretty sure Apple doesn't care if facebook gets the data it wants or not.
Like I said before to someone in one of these threads. Security (and pretty much everything) is about compromise. You can lock everything down so you are untraceable. Of course, to do that you've got to live completely self sustainably off grid somewhere with no creature comforts.
If you've got one of those cards from the grocery store that gets you discounts or coupons, you're being tracked.
If you surf the Internet, you're being tracked unless maybe you use TOR to do your surfing.
