Played rugby union as a kid. Got to the states and this damn soccer stuff... wanna grab twinkle toes and throw him on the ground. Rugby ruined me for other field sports.
When we played (in elementary school) the rule was you got tackled the person that tackled you helped you up... big penalty if that didn't happen. Like they say, a hooligan's game played by gentlemen.
Even today its utterly hypnotizing to watch, they all run like gazelles. It's a proper sport.
I love watching rugby league when I'm overseas but still haven't figured out the rules.
