I have the same messy task lubing and rebooting the half shafts to do this week. I had to replace one of the inner Loebro joints which are suffering a temporary supply problem (a Loebro issue). Unfortunately on my 86 Cab the outer joint is not readily inspectable/replaceable like on the earlier halfshafts.
