Considering they say one thing in the owner's manual, and another in another brochure; I would make sure the unit is 100% returnable and refundable before purchasing it. We have seen claims for diagnostic and service capabilities for scan tools costing way more than this one that turned out to be total "vaporware" that "may be available in future updates". If it don't do it right out of the box, it most likely will never do it. A lot of people have been trying to crack Porsche's proprietary diagnostic's system for years, only a couple have had any success.
