Quanah Parker (circa-1848 - 1911), the last Comanche war chief, died at around the age of 63. He died from the effects of “heart failure by rheumatism” at Star House, his home at the town of Cache in Comanche County, Oklahoma.


Henry Clay Thruston was beyond a doubt the tallest man in the Confederate Army, and was perhaps during the time that he lived, one of the tallest men in the world. He was 7 feet 7 inches tall.
