My process is to design it in Fusion360, print it in PLA to test fit and clearance, form and function. Once I am happy with the design I send it to a small run CNC shop to be made in the material of my choice. I initially used the option within Fusion360 (under the "Make" menu) to put it out to bid on 100garages.com. That is where I found a great small cnc shop in PA (
www.maxmachining.com). I did get several cheep bids from Chinese shops with long lead times. I had quality control concerns there. The shop in PA was great! He was a car guy so he even helped with one of my designs using some of his experience. A few cad files back and forth and my parts were in the mail. Smooth transaction.
