I worked @ Northrop Hawthorne, then Rockwell NAA El Segundo, got transferred to Autonetics Anaheim, then Boeing corporate. Got to work last 7 years remotely.
When they cancelled the Rail Garrison MX Missile program during R. Reagan's nuclear treaty speech on TV, I had to go to the Rockwell San Bernardino development site next day and watch 300 laid off people plug up toilets with top secret docs. I left real quick and called DoD security and said "we got a problem Houston".
