My Daughter is not a drinker but my son was in High School. They had beach parties here and I had two rules: Their parents must let me know they approve and no one leaves the farm until the next day. All car keys in my house.

The parents were always on point and the kids just seemed relieved to be able to BBQ and have a beer without looking over their shoulder.

We never had any issues.

And yes, they both did other stuff they thought would surprise me. My response?

"Whatever you did was Double A at best...I played for the SF Giants".

All true.
Back in the olden days when I was in high school, on base beer and booze was legal at 18, but off base it was 21. One of the General's kids must have had some astonishing skills as a negotiator. He convinced his dad, the General that he could throw a party at their house, and booze would be provided. No cars at all, everyone had to walk to the house, but it was on base and the officers all lived close by. I was likely 18 or so, and walked over with my parents full approval. I had never had hard booze, and was confused as what to order. They were passing out whiskey and Coke so I tried that. Pretty nasty, but I choked it down. I found the beer and I was happy.

This gets a bit gross, but I had to relieve my beer intake and went looking for the bathroom. I walked in one guy was puking in the toilet, one in the sink, and two at the bathtub. I was fine before going in, but the smell was an instant trigger an and I just push my way to the tub and added to the volume. I bailed ASAP and ran for clear air. Outside I found a faucet and got a drink of water. I went to the front, got a beer and found some chips and dip. I left shortly after to go home to pee, I was not going back in that bathroom.

I knew they had a maid coming in the morning and I always wondered if she just quit on the spot.
