The last time I hauled a car cross country (west to east coast), it turned out to be the hottest week of the year. I had all four tires and the spare blow out and shred over the course of the trip (tires were old and I should have bought new ones). It was the week of July 4th and so many vehicles were on the road in the same situation that I spent 3 nights sleeping in the car in different Walmart parking lots because everyone was out of trailer tires...and it was really hot in the car too. So much that I sweated off over 10 lbs. My wife was with me and hated me thoroughly, as well as my Trailex and 911. She still does...I think. Somewhere along the way, the fuel line on the 911 broke from vibration at the fuel tank and I slowly lost the full tank along the road. I tried to stop it but could not...and was sure that it would catch on fire. I noticed it at a truck stop when I was fixing my trailer's tail lights that went out and i had to crawl under the trailer on asphalt so hot that it was almost molten. Good times. I have not pulled a car more than 10 miles since and should probably replace my tires again before I do.
I feel your pain.
