I married the perfect wife. Dang, I got lucky and finally found Mrs. Right, er Mrs Carrera! I had to look long and hard for the right woman. I was in my late 30s before I finally found her.

We will be going to eat at the same restaurant where we had our first date. A local Cajun seafood place. She was still in bed when I kissed her goodby this morning.

We did not get a real romantic morning, I had to get up 45 minutes earlier than normal to have time to get ready, and head downtown to serve on jury duty. I arrived at the parking garage in time and got through courthouse security and had the barcode on my summons scanned, and found a seat. About 10:00 AM they called out around 30 names, all women's names, and only women reported to the clerk. They were all selected to be released for the day, but they were to report to Juvenile Court at 8:00 AM tomorrow. Just before the lunch break they called another 30 names or so and said to report to another small room. He said like always, cases get settled on court day, and that several cases were settled, and we were not needed, and we can go home and we are done with jury duty.

I will get paid for the full day, 20 bucks. It cost me $8.00 to park, so not a real profitable day. I really don't mind jury duty and I was ready to serve on a jury, but not this time.
