Hey Steve,
Well, I'm a ME that voluntarily left my position in Dallas and moved my family to Chico, CA. I needed income so I decided I might make a go of servicing Webers. I then serviced my own set of Webers and now I'm at around 540 projects, mostly Weber but other 911 carbs and MFIs as well.
Simple response to "post-doctorate schooling": On the job, self-training via necessity for income. I figured that since I started servicing carbs late in life and from outside the auto industry that I should immerse myself in all things carb related including history of application for the flat six crowd.
Now located in Salem, OR.
