FoMoCo - LOL!!!!

Mutual Funds are for the completely uninformed these days. Why pay some "manager" to add virtually no value - like was said - they can't beat the index anyway. Particularily in the mid and large caps.

Index funds are the answer to those tempted to buy mutuals because they "don't have time or inclination" to watch equities. Pick the sector you like and away you go - much lower fees than mutual funds - same implicit risks and returns. The liquidity of most exchange traded index funds makes them slick as **** through a goose.

But then I know people that actually pay a full service brokerage to pick and buy mutuals for them - that should almost be illegal!
