Yea, I got it to speak convert to English and all is well. When I turned it on, it wanted to update. The Wi-Fi signal in the garage is rather week, so I walked into my office to be right next to the router. It downloaded the update and a firmware update. I had it all updated last week, but I guess it is like every computer, updates are common.
It comes with one year of updates. I have a reminder on my calendar to do an update to it right before the year is up. No need to update after that unless some crazy rich person just has to buy my 911 for stupid money and I get a new 911 with the proceeds. That seems very unlikely, so no updates on the reader.
It was pretty easy to use. And it read the vin automatically, so it knows the car now. It does have a slot for one of the little bitty memory chips. I may get one just to store the data of the car.
