As I took the trash to the curb last night, I waited for a break in the rain. The earthworms were crawling out to escape drowning. There were a couple that were HUGE. Easy 12 to 14 inches long crawling along the driveway. I used my pocketknife to pick two of the huge ones up and I tossed them on top of the compost pile. That should be above the water and well drained. The many tiny ones, I left to mother nature. I figured the big ones should be making babies and doing good for the compost pile. It already has lots of worms in it.
