I just wonder what it must cost to rent a high end car like that. And what sort of idiot would risk death or injury trying that stunt.
I know the last time I rented a car, they copied my Driver's license, and made a copy of my insurance proof, and they sure had my credit card number and there was no doubt they knew I was. I am sure he will claim the car was stolen and it was not him in the car. They will have the car's onboard video to go through as more evidence.
