The Autel Maxicheck MX808 gizmo to use with the Macan, has a space for a Mini SD card. It is a little bitty card, and it is used to make backups and store the info from the car long term. It of course it does not come with a card, so I ordered one from Amazon. Like the old potato chip commercials, you can't have just one. I bought two 32 GB cards, and a adapter to the SDHC size cards for about 12 bucks. I wondered what to do with the second card, but there is always something. I dug into my collection of cards and found old ones like a 512 MB Compact Flash, and some 2 and 4 GB SD cards. So thought about the Canon digital camera I have. It does not get much use, as my phone is a lot easier to carry around. Anyway, I popped out the card in it, and it was a whopping 8 Gig. It would store hundreds of photos. Now the camera has a 32 Gig card, and will store more photos that I will ever shoot. I shoot everything in max resolution, and RAW, so maximum storage space usage.

It is just unreal how cheap memory is. I remember paying 40 bucks or more for my first USB thumb drive and it was likely a 4 MB unit. I really don't know why I keep the old cards that are so small, but "maybe they will be useful someday!" At least they are small.
