I promised pictures from Amelia but I found that all the pics I took with my phone are too big to upload from my computer. I figured out that when I upload from my phone it will let me choose a smaller file size that Pelican allows.
We arrived at Amelia on Thursday night. Woke up to this view.
Got coffee and then drove to Porsche Werks Reunion.
They park you by model, so all 911s are grouped together. This year they honored the 996 so they got special parking. The rest of us heathens had to park in the back.
Lots of cool stuff on display.
Funny story… there was a vendor there showing off their ITB setup and engine rebuilding. When I first walked by they had an engine on a stand and everything set up to actually be able to run it but they were having trouble. Dead battery and they were trying to charge it. The placard on the front said OUTLAW 2.8 Engine. I came back later and they were still fiddling with it. As I was looking at the engine, I felt someone standing next to me. I thought it was my friend and I turned to say something. Lo and behold it’s Magnus and his girlfriend. She asked “what makes it an outlaw engine?” Magnus said “it says outlaw on it.” No truer were have ever been spoken.
