I remember a co-worker getting sued when some person claimed his dog bit her. What a total sham that was. Small claims court but still cost him time and money too but I forget how much. His dog was/is under threat of being put down if he ever bites someone else too.
One thing I learned from his experience is never put your name on the outside of your house.
