With all deference to the specialists...This basic concept is no longer taught in public schools.
Even the basic concepts of justice, which is so important not only in a court of law but everyday interaction have become foreign concepts.
Emotions trumps facts these days.
There are a myriad of factors involved,
Society itself has become exponentially more complicated,
And the system of Law with respect to language and procedures has become a separate element above the abilities of the common layman.
