I would seriously recommend some MX boots as your first upgrade. They will feel stiff at first in regard to shifting and r ar braking, but once broke in a lot
Iittle they will serve you well. They just make your lower legs deal bullet proof and will support your foot better from hard landings on the pegs and they protect from pain from legs rubbing against frame etc.
