Anyone in SC whose dad has an awesome set of tools?

I'm picking up a car in North Carolina next week if plans don't change, near Raleigh. It has a bad A/C compressor, so I bought a new one and had it shipped to the seller so that he could throw it in the trunk. The car is a 1982 Mercedes-Benz diesel wagon, pretty simple to work on.

I just checked the forecast and it looks like I won't really need A/C on the way back to CA. but it would be nice to have it, I guess. I was going to pick up the car earlier, (winter), and did not think twice about the lack of A/C. I can install it in a couple of hours or less but it's not possible to bring a full set of tools on the plane. Might hire it out to a shop but hate to pay hundreds of dollars for something I can do myself, blindfolded.

I thought that I'd ask here in case there are any gear heads in the area with a home shop I could use, I would of course show my appreciation with a nice steak dinner at the restaurant of their choice. Really basic sockets and open/box end metric wrenches needed plus a floor jack and one jack stand. LF wheel comes off and it's an easy job. I would then take it somewhere for compressor oil and freon fill.

Maybe a long shot but just realized that I could ask here. Can't remember for the life of me who is in that neck of the woods. TIA.
