Titanium has all kinds of metallurgical problems in automotive use, it is not a pricey panacea. At first glance, it appeals as something with the strength of steel and weight of aluminum. Dig deeper, and the picture is not so rosy.
Do a little reading on this topic, Google it. No sense me copy-and-pasting from people much more knowledgeable than I am on the topic.
