Great thread!
I have been wearing the same frame Costa's for probable 20 years. I originally got them for fly fishing and love them so much I have multiple pairs. Some with the 580g polarized glass lenses and some without. I really cannot tell a difference in weight and the glass ones are less prone to scratching so those are my go to for every day.
The pair I wear on the motorcycle have the plastic lenses.
Costa no longer sells the frame I wear (Triple Tail) but when I scratch/break them I still send them in for repairs. I also have a few other pairs of nice ones I have tired over the years, but I always go back to these.
I have a pair that are the more modern look like what you linked to Vash and they do provide good coverage. I do not think I would buy anything online without trying it on unless I could return them.....
I take care of my stuff and sunglasses are never something I have wanted to skimp on. For yardwork/hunting I have an older pair that are not polarized so i do not worry if they get scratched.
