And Toyota's manual recommends "Toyota" oil. I asked the dealer "When did Toyota get into the refining business?" I figure as long as the oil meets the specs, I don't care what brand it is. I've been running whatever is cheapest in my beater Taurus X and that thing has over 180K on the odometer.
