I believe most Porsche dealers realize there is a market for the vintage models and would be happy to take your car in trade.

A couple years ago I saw a very nice air cooled Turbo for sale on the floor at Porsche North Scottsdale.

Edit: Just remembered - about ten years ago I saw a very nice 3.2 Carrera for sale at a Honda dealer. I was tempted to buy it (I wish I did). I recall after a test drive I checked the oil and it was way over full. I told them how to check the oil (they had no clue). I asked if they would take my 911SC in trade and they said yes. I think dealers will buy/sell anything if there is money to be made.
