A lot of people use 1/8" NPT plugs. The thread is very close to 10mm x 1.0. Not to say it's correct, but they do work. One problem with the "correct" plugs is that they occasionally loosen up and fall out. That doesn't happen with the pipe plugs because the thread is tapered.
